1.The
admission to this course will be made by the
college on the dates time as decided by the
university.It will be strictly on the basis of
merit prepared by the college and as per the
reservation policy of Punjab Govt.The duration of
the Master Degree course shall be 2years.
2.The
examination for this course shall be held in two
parts. part I at the end of the first year of the
course and Part II at the end of the second year
of the course once a year ordinarily in the month
of april on a date fixed by the Syndicate.
3.A
person who has passed one of the following
examinations shall be eligible to join part I
(First year) class of the course :- B.C.A.
Examination from the Panjab University or B.Tech.
or B.E. Computer Science from any other University
recognised by the Syndicate as equivalent theretto.
4.The First Year Examination for M.Sc.(Information
Technology) shall be open to a regular candidate
who has obtained at least 40% marks in the
internel assessment of each such subject.The
candidate must submit his splash
project/dissertation/thesis so as to reach the
University at least 20 days before the
commencement of Part II examination.
5.The Second Year Examination will be open to a
regular candidate who:
a) has been on the rolls of affiliated college
during two academic sessions preceding the
examination.
b) has passed the First Year Examination is
eligible to appear in the Second Year Examination
under Regulation 10.
6.The student must complete all courses
reguirements and pass all prescribed examination
in maximum four academic sessions from the date of
joining the course in order to be eligible for
award of the Degree.Subject to the above,a student
may be allowed to re-appear in one or more
subjects as specified below :
A candidate who having obtained the pre-requisite
marks in the internal assessment part of every
subject of the First Year examination under
Regulation No. 10
6.A
successful candidate may publish original results
of his dissertation/thesis, if permitted by the
Principal of affiliated college as papers , in
journals of repute.
