Eligibility for
admission to B.A. I
The
admission to the First Year of the Course shall be
open to a student who has passed +2 examination of
Punjab School Education Board or any other
examination recognised equivalent thereto.
A candidate joining the B.A.Ist year class should
have obtained at least 33% marks in the aggregate of
all the subject ( including marks obtained by him in
the subject of compart-ment,Theory and Practicals
taken together) taken up by him at the +2
examination. Candidates who have passed +2
Examination without English from any recognised
Board /Body Council/University are eligible to join
B.A.Part I if theyfulfill other requirements such as
minimum percentage of maks etc.

A student
is required to select any three subjects out of the
following sets :
(1) Hindi (2)Phy.Education or Economics (3)
Political Science (4) History (5) Information
Technology (6) Computer Applications (7) Tax
Procedures & Practice (Total number of seats : 30) (U.G.C.
sponsored vocational subject) (8) An additional
optional subject of computer science will be given
to the students of B.A.I( for this a student is
required to pay a nominal extra fee of Rs. 1200/-
P.A. ) with 60 Hours training in one year.
*Note:
A
student will be elgible to take the subject at
Sr.No.7 in case he has Economics /Statistics at+2
level and Sr.No.5&6 according to the combination
allowed by the university.

Additional compulsory paper-Environment Education
A
compulsory qualifying paper of 50 marks on
"Environment Education" has been prescribed in B.A./B.Sc/
B.Com/B.B.A./B.C.A. -1 course to be taught only in
the 1st year which the candidates are required to
qualify in the Ist or 2nd or 3rd year. The
examination on "Environment Education" would be
conducted by the University as per the Prescribed
syllabus. The pass percentage in this subject is
33%.
Eligibility for
admission to B.A. II & B.A. III
A
student who has passed B.A. Part I/Part II or any
other examination equivalent thereto shall be
eligible to join B.A. II/ B.A. III and the suject
will remain the same as in B.A. I.
